Initially we produced a series of eight Limited Edition badges entitled 'The History of Guinness Advertising' and this was followed by three further badges depicting some of our Royal Doulton Toucan images.

Since then, we have each year produced a further limited edition badge which has not been available to purchase but has been sent out free for customer's purchasing each year's Guinness figurine from us. These latter badges, in rather smaller limited edition sizes have - perhaps not surprisingly - become very sought after in the secondary market.

The gilt enamelled badges are manufactured exclusively for Millennium Collectables Ltd by Toye & Co of Birmingham - renowned high quality badge manufacturers founded in 1685 and holders of the Royal Warrant.

The first series of badges were produced in limited editions of 2,500 of each, are number-stamped on the reverse and come in a special Guinness branded box with a numbered Limited Edition certificate. The further three badges were produced in a Limited Edition of just 1500. The Lion & Zookeeper Badge, The Elephant & Keeper Badge & The 'Guinness Time' Penguin Badge have been produced in edition sizes of 1200, 800 & 950 respectively - corresponding with the edition sizes of the ceramic figurines.
