Yes we are still here !

Customers will not be surprised to learn that the start to 2009 has been awful for us with Royal Doulton going into Administration - as part of The Waterford Wedgwood Group.

The Administrators have spent three months not really wanting to push forward projects timed for later in the year as, understandably perhaps, their focus was on achieving a sale of the business and on projects producing them quick income streams. Almost inevitably this has resulted in delays to our 2009 projects.

The Wedgwood/Doulton business has now been taken over by an American Firm - KPS Partners - and, although it is early days to gauge what their long term plans are for the business (including the issue of UK manufacturing) we have been told that our 2009 projects can now be moved forward again. Our current expectations of timings are now as follows:-

Ada - The PG Tips Chimp

Brochure Mid May with figurines being despatched in July & August.

The 250th Anniversary Guinness Clock

Brochure Mid June with clocks despatched in August, September & October.

The Hovis Boy

Brochure in October with figurines despatched in November & December.


We apologise that this is now going to lead to the bunching of the figurines all together in the second half of the year but we will be pleased to work out a plan to spread them out for customers who purchase more than one of them.

We hope customers understand that these delays have been outside of our control - and indeed the control of the people who we deal with at Royal Doulton and we thank you for your patience.

We are sure they will all be worth waiting for.
